-Five years (Three years of postgraduate training + two years of senior residency) of hands-on training in the field of Medical Microbiology.
-Conventional and automated methods in Bacteriology of sample processing and reporting, various samples.
-Application of the above in a variety of clinical settings to solve diagnostic and therapeutic problems along with preventive measures.
-Automated methods including- Vitek-2 MS, MALDI-TOF MS.
-Well versed in serological diagnosis of infections
-Standardization of workflow in the newly established COVID-19 BSL-2 laboratory, at the start of the Pandemic.
- Role in using the existing infrastructure to plan out the workflow.
-Organization and smooth working of the laboratory with a high sample
load of about 1000 samples per day.
-Using WHONET to timely dispatch the reports to the various wards in the
hospital to keep the method paperless, helps in proper isolation of the
patients.
-Hands-on experience in Good laboratory practices.
-Experience of working in a BSL-3 laboratory in the New Delhi Tuberculosis Center.
-Played a pivotal role in hospital infection control, including formulation of antibiotic policy and management of biomedical waste.
-Medical teaching experience - taught students enrolled in Second year MBBS, Bachelors of nursing Medical Microbiology.
-Dissertation :Urogenital tuberculosis in females with recurrent UTI.
