1. Resume

Short summary of skills, experience and career objective

I am a trained clinical pharmacist from India with a PharmD (Post-Baccalaureate) and two years of experience in hospital and clinical pharmacy settings. My career began in a multidisciplinary role involving medication chart audits, dose and duration verification, drug interaction checks, and monitoring for safety and adverse events, antimicrobial audits.
Over time, my interest in antimicrobials deepened, and I transitioned into a role directly under a microbiologist. There, I performed empirical and definitive antimicrobial audits, medication safety reviews, error identification, and assisted with antibiogram preparation, quarterly Hospital Infection Control (HIC) meetings, and Defined Daily Dose (DDD) analysis for antimicrobial optimization. However, the limited microbiological resources and lack of an ID physician made me realize the need for more structured and advanced exposure to infectious diseases.
That is when I came across a unique opportunity—the first Infectious Diseases Fellowship for pharmacists in India, organized by the Indian Pharmaceutical Association with support from Pfizer, which offered exactly what I had been seeking: structured ID training, collaborative interdisciplinary exposure, and mentorship.
I was fortunate to be placed at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital under a transplant ID physician whose passion for teaching and commitment to pharmacist involvement in ID care deeply shaped my learning.
Working in a large tertiary-care center exposed me to complex infections in HSCT and solid-organ transplant recipients, deepening my interest in transplant ID and advanced antimicrobial therapy. These experiences strengthened my commitment to infectious diseases, stewardship, and multidisciplinary care, while reinforcing my habit of continuous learning through ID webinars, and professional online resources.
